About

As an International Education Specialist, Wenonah Echelard is passionate about 
developing experiential learning and engagement programs that support the inclusion of all learners. A native Minnesotan fluent in English, French, and Spanish and conversational in German and Mandarin, Echelard has dedicated her career to fostering connections among people, between cultures, and within her local community.

Echelard launched her career in education as language instructor for the Minneapolis Public Schools, TAPIF and the Concordia Language Villages. Primarily focused on bilingual and foreign language education, she has developed curriculum and supplemental language-learning programs that build intercultural competence and communication skills among youth and young adults. In the Minneapolis Public Schools, she also served as family liaison for the Spanish-speaking community, advocating for the needs and concerns of first-generation students and immigrant families.

Echelard honed her skills as an operator in the New York City tech industry as an international business and marketing strategist at Tictail and Glossier. Now, as an expert in the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, Wenonah dedicates her passion to developing international programs that build intercultural competence and communication skills among youth and young adults to prepare the future generation of leaders to thrive as global citizens. 

In her free time, you can find her attempting an intricate culinary project, playing her flute, or biking to the local farmer’s market.
